The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has commissioned 10 bulldozers towards boosting agricultural production in the State, just as he commended the Federal Government for making the feat possible.
At the commissioning held at the Arcade Ground, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the Governor noted that the bulldozers being commissioned were the first batch of many to be bought by his administration through the help of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), adding that Government would continue to purchase more with the assurance that aggressive land clearing would commence immediately.
“I’m extending appreciation to the CBN, because without their support, we wouldn’t have been in the position to do this. So this is part of Commercial Agric Credit Scheme (CACS) fund and is among what we’re doing with it, we are going to commence aggressive land clearing.” He said.
Amosun urged farmers to approach the Government for use of any of the newly commissioned bulldozers, saying that it would be released for hire at subsidized rates.
